Sister Monica de la Rosa, IWBS celebrated her 60th anniversary of religious profession, and Sister Mary Louise Mount, IWBS, and Sister Jo Ann Saenz, IWBS, were honored on their 25th anniversary at a Jubilee Mass of Thanksgiving at Incarnate Word Convent in Corpus Christi on Saturday, May 12. Msgr. Thomas Feeney, convent chaplain, was the principal celebrant of the Mass, with Msgr. Louis Kihneman, III concelebrating.

Catholic Charities of Corpus Christi unveiled its new $1 million Mother Teresa Transitional Housing facility located at 1605 Mestina St. in Corpus Christi on March 23. The facility was set to open with a few residents in April, but due to unforeseeable circumstances it is now scheduled to open in May.

On April 3, Bishop Wm. Michael Mulvey celebrated the annual Chrism Mass at Corpus Christi Cathedral with more than 100 priests of the diocese present to renew the promises they made at their ordination. The bishop also blessed the oils used for catechumens, the sick and those being confirmed, baptized or ordained.
