    WASHINGTON—Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz of Louisville, Kentucky, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), called upon Congress to reform our nation’s immigration system. “The time to act is now,” said Archbishop Kurtz in a June 5 statement. He spoke in advance of the spring meeting of the U.S. bishops, to be held June 10-13, in New Orleans.

  • 30th Anniversary Gala Concert will feature cathedral singers, past and present

    In 1984, 30 years ago, the Diocese of Corpus Christi hired Lee Gwozdz and Greg Labus as the new directors of music for the diocese and Cathedral. Since that time, hundreds of singers have been members of the Cathedral Choir. All past and present Cathedral Choir members have been invited to perform for this 30th Year Reunion Gala Concert on June 20 at 7:30 p.m. in Corpus Christi Cathedral.
