Juniors Emily Adams, Francesca Bendas, Hannah Hall, Karina Melchor and Megan Santillan, and seniors Alexa Mora, Lois Pierce and Phobe Strain received a IV rating.

Big changes are coming for the Catholic Dioceses of Amarillo. On Saturday a groundbreaking ceremony was held for a new Chancery building. The current building they are in is more than 60 years old and is starting to become structurally insecure according to Chris Albracht, the director of communications for the diocese. He also mentioned Diocese is starting to out-grow their current space.

Today, March 10, a United States District Court judge for the Western District Of Oklahoma dismissed a federal lawsuit against the Oklahoma Ten Commandments monument. The monument is one of many on the grounds of the Oklahoma State Capitol. The federal judge ruled that the plaintiffs, American Atheists, Inc. and their activists, lacked standing, giving them no grounds to bring a legal challenge against the monument.

Daniel Rock, Devon Molina, Alison Duncan, Drake Leeson, Anthony Matl and Patrick Shea were announced as state qualifiers by the judges at the Coastal Bend Regional History Fair on March 7.

Parishioners in the Diocese of Corpus Christi contributed $69,036.57 in support of the 2014 appeal for the Retirement Fund for Religious. That is $5,000 more than was raised the previous year, said Greg Seagrave, Financial Officer for the diocese. Over the last 26 years, parishioners in the diocese have donated more than $1.8 million to this collection.

The University of Notre Dame brought its request to the Supreme Court after a surprising lower court decision that made it the only nonprofit religious ministry in the nation without protection from the HHS mandate.
