Este curso, titulado “Esposas de Cristo, Hijas de la Iglesia,” se llevará a cabo en el Centro de Retiro de Pax Christi en Corpus Christi, Texas, que cuenta con capacidad para alojar aproximadamente 80 religiosas que desean asistir a este curso de estudio.

Getting a good night’s rest has become easier for children at The Ark Assessment Center and Emergency Shelter for Youth, thanks to funds received through its participation in the 2014 Coastal Bend Day of Giving. Among other purchases, the shelter was able to buy new mattresses for all of the children’s beds at the nonprofit agency.

The Our Lady of Guadalupe youth group in Alice reenacted a "Live Stations of the Cross" play on Good Friday, April 3, through the parish's neighborhood. Father Julian Cabrera, pastor at the parish, said several people along the procession were impacted by the sorrow and pain Jesus endured before being crucified.

Incarnate Word Academy high school students’ Mission Team is spreading God’s love and serving others throughout Holy Week from March 29-April 4 in Big Wells, Asherton, La Pryor and Batesville, Texas. The group, which includes more than 70 students, left on Sunday, March 29.

The Corpus Christi Cathedral was full to capacity for the annual Chrism Mass in which the bishop blesses three oils—the oil of catechumens (oleum catechumenorum or oleum sanctorum), the oil of the infirm (oleum infirmorum) and holy chrism (sacrum chrisma)—used in the administration of the sacraments throughout the diocese for the year.
