Some 250 individuals from the Diocese of Corpus Christi participated in the Rally for Life at the state Capitol on Saturday, Jan. 29. Fifty students from the Newman Center at Texas A&M University Kingsville and another 50 pro-life supporters from various parishes joined some 150 students from St. John Paul II High School and Bishop Garriga Middle Preparatory School to make the trip to Austin.

Local cancer survivor, Rebecca Esparza is making her way to New York for the SMGlobal Catwalk on Feb. 11, during New York Fashion Week. In addition to attending, she has met fashion designer, Dalia MacPhee, and jewelry designer Remarkably Renee who have donated their time and passion to bring Esparza the opportunity to be a featured survivor model for the cancer non-profit “Say YES to HOPE”.

Louis Kihneman, III has been called a son, a brother, a friend, a fisherman, a fisher of men, a pastor, a mentor, a teacher and a holy man. He has answered to deacon, father, monsignor and now he will be bishop of the Diocese of Biloxi, Mississippi.
