Cathedral choirs announce talent search

CORPUS CHRISTI – Now in its 29th Season, the Cathedral Music Ministry of Corpus Christi Cathedral is seeking to fill openings for new members in their six choirs.

Limited openings are available in the Pontifical Chorale (Adult Choir) the Men’s Chant Choir - The Schola Cantorum, Handbell Choir (Adults and Youth), the Youth Chorale (Grades 8-12), Choristers (Grades 4-7) and Cherub Choir (Grades 1-3).

In addition to weekly "re-choir-ments," the choirs will sing for the Cathedral Concert Series’ production of “A Cathedral Holiday Spectacular” in December and Festival Concert 2014. The adult choirs will have an opportunity to participate in a choir pilgrimage to France and Spain in the Summer of 2014. The youth choirs have received an invitation to sing for Pope Francis in Rome for the New Year's Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica in 2015.

All Cathedral choirs are under the direction of Lee Gwozdz, who has presented workshops, festivals and seminars in over 200 major cities.
