The Heralds of Good News is a Missionary Society of Apostolic Life founded in the Diocese of Eluru, India, on 14 October 1984. The Society was established by Rev. Dr. Jose Kaimlett with the approval and blessings of the late Rt. Rev. Dr. John Mulagada, Bishop of Eluru. It was subsequently recognized as an Institute of Pontifical Right on 5 May 1999.
The Society is dedicated to the promotion of vocations to the priesthood, the formation and training of seminarians, and the missionary service of the Church. It seeks to provide zealous and committed priests to dioceses in India and abroad that experience a shortage of clergy due to a lack of local vocations.
