State of the Diocese will be held this year on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds, located at 1213 Terry Shamsie Blvd, Robstown, TX 78380. It will be an evening where we all come together as parishioners in the Diocese of Corpus Christi and disciples of our Lord. Bishop Michael Mulvey will update us on the state of our diocese:where we are now and where we want to be. We will celebrate our faith together and thank the Lord for the great gifts He gives us every day.

Bring the family! Everyone is welcomed. Your purchased ticket includes a sit down meal. There is an option for a kid's meal 12 and under. Parking is Free and the wonderful Knights of Columbus also help in the parking lot with people who need assistance. There is also a Tram that circles the parking lot and can take you to the front door.

There are several reasons why you and your family will want to attend. It will be an evening to celebrate —all of us together, in one room— being Catholic in South Texas. You’ll hear from Bishop Michael Mulvey about what is happening in the Diocese, and you’ll get to mingle and meet other Catholics throughout our 12 counties. There will be a Minstry Expo for you to check out. You’ll meet people from the Office of Vocations, Offices of Youth and Young adults, Office of Communications, Catholic Schools, and so many other offices and programs you may have heard about but want to know more about. You may even want to get involved.

Doors open at 6 p.m. at the Richard Borchard Fairgrounds in Ballrooms A& B. The program will beginat 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be served shortly after Parking is free.

The 2024 State of the Diocese was held at the Richard Borchard Fairgrounds in Robstown, Texas on Wednesday, November 16. Bishop Michael Mulvey provided an update to all the faithful on the state of the diocese: where we are now and where - we are praying - our diocese, the Body of Christ, will go in the future. Various diocesan ministries also presented on their programs and the ways for parishioners to participate. Ministry exhibitors were also present to discuss opportunities for volunteers to lend their gifts to.
